TASMANIANS should not tip-toe around when it comes to thinking up a name for a new tulip at Table Cape's Van Diemen Quality Bulbs.
The new tulip was launched in time for Wynyard's annual three-week Bloomin' Tulips festival, which starts today and runs until October 16.
Bulb company retail manager David Roberts-Thomson wants Tasmanians to name the tulip which was the first to bloom on the North-West flower farm.

Bred in The Netherlands and imported to Table Cape, the naming rights have been granted to the company.
"It is a stunning red and incredibly early," Mr Roberts-Thomson said yesterday.
"I'm hoping someone will give it a name that represents our region or the flower's qualities.
"It may go on to become a global variety and be very popular for years to come."
The person who comes up with the winning name will receive the naming honour and $100 of new tulip bulbs.
Entries can be submitted on the website www.vdqbulbs.com.au or by visiting the tulip farm, which is open 9am-4.30pm during the festival.
The winning name will be announced on October 16 at 3pm.
