In that case, you should tell the landlord to fix it.  If yours is a rental house, before you keep a cat (even for the short term), you need to check your rental agreement if pets are allowed.  If not, you need to get the landlord's consent first.

By the way, even with a cat, it does not mean that you don't have to do anything. My friends' experiences are the cat will bring the mouse (sometimes still alive) into the house and show it to you. My dog Dudley does the same too when he catches a mouse in the backyard.

房东现在不在国内。。。。。

找一块布，然后把猫尿浇上去，放到老鼠经常出没的地方，一般老鼠就不会再出了
