Dear Colleagues
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of one of our students, Zhang Yu, from China.
Tasmania Police advised the University this morning of her death.
The matter continues to be investigated by the police and the University will ensure it continues to work with them in any possible way.
I extend my personal condolences and those of the University community to the student's family and friends.
Counselling is available for University students and staff through the Hobart campus from International Services and Student Services.
