Every university even the colleges have their graduation ceremony.
In Utas usually they got 2 times in different seasons which is in : Basically in August and December.
Also you can walk through your graduation ceremony to next year or ask they to arrange another time in different years.
The formal suit or jacket are required when u attend the ceremony. don't make it too sporty.
so you don't need to worry about the that, after u graduated from uni, you will be have a nice photo and cool formal suit with you .

yeah .must be. they required it formal suit when u attend the graduation ceremony. The Chinese "Tang Jacket" can be a sort of formal dress

but I've seen people who dressed the sporty shoes with formal suit. and without graduation hat.
Pretty good. and fun.
