Dear ADSRI Staff and Students, Skilled Migration Reforms – Speech by the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship I am writing on behalf of Senator Chris Evans, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and the Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute (ADSRI) to invite you to attend a speech in which the Minister will announce significant policy reforms to the skilled migration program. This event is being hosted by the Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute (ADSRI) of the Australian National University. Representatives from industry peak bodies, unions, the education sector and key interest groups, as well as stakeholders of the ADSRI, have been invited to attend. The forum will provide you with an opportunity to be briefed on key policy reforms and priorities within the Skilled Migration Program. We look forward to receiving confirmation of your attendance, or that of your nominated representative at the meeting. The details of the meeting are as follows. Time: 8.30am for a 9.00am start. 在私下的讨论中，移民部官员提到政府将支持改修订侧重于雇主担保签证，并会给州政府权力以引起有洲担保签证的工人.
虽然移民们在MODL上得到分数不多（无澳洲经验15分，有澳洲工作经验20分），但是这个分数对是否移民成功起关键作用。有业内人士说道30岁以下的技术移民常用到评分系统。
该修订可能将将使得Trade职业难以申请到PR，例如当前在MODL上的美发师和烹调师。而这些职业对那些旨在留在澳洲的海外学生很有吸引力。
该业内人士指出，“这个问题很敏感，关键是我们不能强迫学生只能去从事他们被培训过的行业”。预计这个变化对澳洲170亿远的教育行业影响巨大.

“短期内，注册培训机构将会面临倒闭，而较大的教育机构例如TAFE将会面临重大的财务打击”该人士说道。
技术移民顾问专门小组于去年底审核完了MODL，刚好可以够上1月21号的讨论。
在会议上，移民局官员告诉大家当前的移民评分系统不太能反映雇主们的当前技术需求，所以将会被修改。
这些变化预料将于宣布的午夜时分起效，而业内人士警告说人们可能会急于赶末班车而造成申请的大量剧增。
澳洲私立教育培训委员会的执行总裁Andrew Smith说道，他希望新政策评估能考虑到教育对经济的影响并照顾学生们。
Smith先生说道：“我们十分关心该变革是否将有适当的过渡性安排，以便最小化对学生们的影响”.

术业有专攻，相信专业人士总是对的。

刚刚登陆移民局网站一看，果然如此，估计形势不妙了。

TAFE是彻底缴枪了

关键是会计是否还能挺住。。。移民一定是难 但是“仁慈”的澳洲当局总会给大家留一道门...或者另一个火坑

那天ABC1的七点半新闻里面也说了这个事情，而且点了“美发”的名。
但是我感觉好像离拿会计开刀还为时过早 ...
